You srs wouldn't.

Or would you? If you enjoy movies and have an internet connection, then you most likely have stolen some form of digital media. If you have a TV, you probably noticed the “you wouldn’t download a car, would you?” advertising campaign. The only question I have is who wouldn’t download a car? People who download movies illegally aren’t people who would walk into a store, look around, and then stuff a copy of The Matrix down their pants. What large corporations don’t want you to realize is that pirating movies and software is popular because it’s easy, not because there are more criminals out there. And I have to say that hell yes I would download a car.

Would you download a car?

The time of being bent over by record labels and movie studios is over. The music industry and the film industry have had a choke hold on the public for a long, long time, without challenge. There’s nothing wrong with forcing the corporations to adapt a little, to make something that encourages you to support their productions. Also, music distribution over the internet has helped more artists than its hurt; I don’t care if fiddy cent can’t buy another goddamn house. So, as Trent Reznor says, steal, steal, steal, and steal some more. Trent Reznor released his new album “The Slip” for free, while maintaining the option to pay for a higher quailty version. Although he didn’t recieve as much money as he had anticipated, he made a damn good profit from it.

The advertising campaign makes internet piracy seem like it is the exact same thing as stealing a car, TV, or DVD. That’s cool and all, but if you were to steal a TV, the owner wouldn’t have that TV anymore. If you were to pirate a movie online, the original owner still has his copy. It’s just taking a clone of his. Therefore it should not be considered theft.

If software and media agencies want their products to legitimately sell, they should check their price tags.

I voted no. I don’t have a drivers license, and you have to pay loads of money to park anywhere in the city.
